One booking note: if your dates sit in a school-holiday week, buy the domestic legs when you buy the international ones. The convenient morning slots sell through first, and rebooking a family of four onto a later flight costs more than any fare saving. Both airports work well. Kayseri wins on schedule depth (useful when you want a specific morning or evening slot), while Nevşehir offers the shorter transfer. Book two to four weeks ahead in high season for the best fares and the good departure times; same-week seats exist but the cheap ones go first.
